Funky Butt Brass Band

The news has been so full of sadness and loss lately, it’s time to talk about something very, very good and positive. We are thrilled to announce that Bryan Fritz is joining FBBB on saxophone and vocals. We were lucky to have the amazing Austin Cebulske holding down the sax position over the past four years, but he has departed the STL, headed to Colorado to get his doctorate. Bryan has played with us sporadically over the past few years (he filled in when Austin did a European tour with our buddy Al Holliday) and not only is he a great player, he’s a great fit for the band. He joined us for the Blues’ Stanley Cup Victory Parade, he’s added some groovy baritone and tenor to our upcoming record, and we might even let him sing a couple of numbers live onstage! All in all, it’s a great addition and we’re extremely excited to move the band forward with Bryan laying down those soulful sax lines. Please welcome Bryan to FBBB!
